Regenerative Health Providers and Physicians

The regenerative health providers at QC Kinetix are highly trained doctors and physician assistants who are board certified in sports medicine, orthopedic medicine and surgery, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and pain management. Each took their own path to discover the power of regenerative medicine to alleviate pain for their patients. We’re proud to work with these compassionate and skilled healers at the QC Kinetix regenerative health centers nationwide

Non-Invasive Surgical Alternative

Some causes of persistent musculoskeletal pain must be resolved through surgery. When we see cases like this, our regenerative health providers let our patients know their best course of action resides with a surgeon. But surgery is often not the only option or the best solution for many patients. Many of our physicians have seen patients undergo surgery only to compound their initial pain. Our minimally invasive, nonsurgical regenerative treatments for joint pain harness the enormous power of the human body to repair and renew itself. In this way, we go to the source of the pain to resolve it naturally.

Many of our physicians and regenerative health providers began their careers in sports medicine. Working with professional athletes to mend broken bones and repair torn ligaments and tendons is highly rewarding. But too often, professional athletes and weekend warriors push themselves to return to the activities they love before they have fully healed from surgery.

Unfortunately, orthopedic surgery often does as much or more damage to the body than the injury it seeks to repair. So a lengthy and painful recovery period is necessary. Regenerative medicine is an entirely different approach that enlists the body’s abilities to heal and repair its damaged tissues.

Pain-Free Without Pills

Some of our regenerative health physicians have spent years combatting repeated opioid prescriptions and the resulting opioid addictions. It is so difficult for a doctor to gaze into the pain-filled eyes of their patients and refuse to help. But this understandable compassion has led to the nightmare of opioid abuse.

So, rather than masking their patients’ pain temporarily, which invites reinjury, these physicians found their way to regenerative medicine instead. They can now provide their patients with genuine pain relief through natural biologic treatments that alleviate low back painelbow painknee pain, and more.

Even steroids are not the cure-all some doctors make them out to be. Although oral and injected steroids relieve inflammation, they have the potential for some pretty nasty side effects. And the injection of steroids can break down cartilage at the injection site, which leads to more pain. Our regenerative health providers with a background in pain management provide natural treatments that repair and resolve pain without compounding it with additional stress and toxic side effects.

Marc Difronzo, MMS, PA-C

Marc was born on Long Island, NY but grew up in Charleston, SC and received his B.S. in Exercise Science from College of Charleston. He has a total of 16 years of military service between active Special Operations and the South Carolina Army National Guard with a total of 6 deployments. Becoming a Physician Assistant was his dream job as he had an extensive medical background as a Ranger First Responder / EMT and Emergency Room Technician before being accepted to the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.  Marc graduated with his Master’s Degree from the University of North Carolina in 2017 and moved back to his favorite city shortly thereafter to start his career.

Marc’s interest in regenerative medicine originated with his own journey to seek different treatment options for his own musculoskeletal issues. In addition, while working at a Post-Acute Care facility, he saw the limited treatment options for patients, who were usually overusing narcotics and NSAIDs, ultimately leading to dependency and other medical problems.

Marc’s goal is to promote a minimally invasive and clinically beneficial option to people that will give them the best possible opportunity to live their life to the fullest. He also finds inspiration in the words of Patch Adams, M.D. who said, “The purpose of a doctor or any human in general should not be to simply delay the death of the patient, but to increase the person’s quality of life,” and, “You treat a disease, you win, you lose.  You treat a person, I guarantee you, you’ll win, no matter what the outcome.”  Marc looks forward to treating you as a person at QC Kinetix, with the goal of improving your quality of life.

Dennis Leris, PA-C

Dennis is a 2001 graduate from the Medical University of South Carolina PA program.  He began an extensive career in the field of Interventional pain management in 2002 lasting through 2019. After seeing first-hand the risks of chronic opioid treatment including dependence, addiction and even death, he made the decision to leave the field of pain medicine and pursue a fellowship in addiction medicine to focus his efforts on helping those who had innocently fallen victim to the risks of opioid therapy for treatment of their chronic pain conditions.

Having been involved in sports throughout his childhood and as an avid weightlifter for the past 20 years, Dennis’ lifestyle has been heavily focused on optimum health and nutrition to maintain peak physical performance and conditioning. After experiencing an injury and undergoing surgical correction with poor results, resulting in decreased strength and function, Dennis focused his attention and education on alternative treatments, such as the natural biologic therapies offered at QC Kinetix.  He is excited to now be a member of the QC Kinetix team which has afforded him the opportunity to educate his clients on these advanced therapies to which may improve and restore function and quality of life, as well as help patients to hopefully avoid chronic pain medications and avoid or prolong the need for surgical intervention.
