Julie received her associate’s degree from Southern Adventist University in 1995; her Bachelor of Science from Miami University in 2008; and her master’s in family primary care nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2014. Because of her own experience with trauma and pain from a near-death school bus accident, Julie knew she wanted to be a nurse and make a positive difference in someone else’s life from the age of 12. At age 14, Julie left her home in Quebec, Canada, to attend a self-supporting school and Sanatorium in Dayton, Tennessee. She trained to be a nursing assistant, working in the mornings in the Sanatorium and attending school in the afternoons. For over 20 years, Julie served as a med-surgical rehabilitation nurse, learning the value of an integrated-team approach to managing pain and regaining physical function. During the last eight years, Julie has been working as a wellness nurse practitioner, seeing firsthand the benefits and life-changing successes of regenerative medicine. By listening, fostering an environment that promotes respect and building a trusting partnership with her clients, Julie is dedicated to providing excellent patient-centered care.
