Miguel Barker-Valdez
PA-C
Miguel has provided orthopedic care to the Rogue Valley area for 21 years. He has treated ailments from the shoulder to the fingers, the hips to the toes, and the spine, as well as managing operative and non-operative trauma patients. He has now brought his 21 years of orthopedic experience to QC Kinetix in continuing his care to the people of Rogue Valley. Miguel received his B.S. degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, in Portland, Oregon. He is a Certified Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and speaks fluent Spanish. When not at work, Miguel teaches English to Spanish-speaking immigrants, advocates for migrant farm worker rights, works with racial justice and equity organizations based here in the Rogue Valley and helps non-English speaking people navigate the confusing medical system of the U.S. He is also the team medical provider for the Spartan Boxing Club in Medford and also sits on Spartan’s board. Miguel also spends time calculating how to avoid as many house chores as possible assigned to him by his wife, mountain biking, going to the boxing gym with his children and salsa dancing with his wife. He is excited to have joined QC Kinetix’s team.
