Non-Surgical Rotator Cuff Pain Treatment

Conditions Treated > Shoulder Pain
Have you been told you need rotator cuff surgery? In some cases, surgery is the only answer. However, in most cases, regenerative rotator cuff pain treatments are a viable alternative. Imagine relieving your chronic shoulder pain and restoring strength and function without surgery and all its potential complications.

Regenerative medicine offers biologic rotator cuff treatments that provide:

  • Shoulder pain relief
  • Improved joint function
  • Increased range of motion

Whether you suffer from a torn rotator cuff, tendinitis, bursitis, impingement syndrome, or a related shoulder pain condition, regenerative rotator cuff pain treatment may be the solution you need. At QC Kinetix, our goal is to help you regain your independence so you can embrace life fully again.

Why Regenerative Shoulder Treatment?

Patients come to us for regenerative torn rotator cuff treatment for various reasons. Most are anxious to avoid surgery, with the added pain and risks of complications. Some cannot afford to miss 6 weeks to 4 months for recovery. Others are anxious to avoid opioids. All are attracted to the benefits of regenerative therapy.

Non-Invasive Approach

Surgical rotator cuff tear treatment cuts through skin, muscle, tendon, bursa, and sometimes bone. You may need to have screws, anchors, or other implants inserted. Regenerative therapies, however, just involve a needle stick.

Faster Recovery Time

Surgery causes considerable tissue damage, requiring a lengthy and painful recovery. You may miss 6 weeks to 4 months of work, depending upon your job. There’s no need to miss a day with regenerative rotator cuff pain treatment.

Natural Healing

Regenerative rotator cuff treatment stimulates your body’s innate healing mechanisms, directing them to the source of your pain. Rather than causing additional tissue damage, the therapy guides and supports your own healing.

Quality of Life

Chronic shoulder pain and surgery limit your ability to move, dress, bathe, and sleep, let alone enjoy your favorite activities. They are isolating, and each can cause depression and anxiety. Regenerative medicine helps you embrace life again.

The Promise of Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine is an exciting field that improves joint function and delivers genuine pain relief without the tissue damage, risks of complications, and lengthy recovery required with surgery. Where surgical repair intensifies your pain before it relieves it, regenerative rotator cuff pain treatments cause no added pain. Why not skip the cutting and go straight to restoration?

Mobility

The shoulder is the most mobile and complex joint in the human body and cannot be immobilized without risking stiffness, muscle weakness, and other problems. There is no need to immobilize the shoulder following regenerative therapy.

Regenerative Potential

Regenerative therapy is a far gentler, more natural process that stimulates your body’s self-healing mechanism without causing additional damage.

Pain Relief

Regenerative rotator cuff pain treatment relieves shoulder pain, improves shoulder joint health, and increases your range of motion with no added pain, no added tissue damage, no anesthesia, no risk of frozen shoulder, and no risk of arthritis.

Understanding Rotator Cuff Tears

The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles and their tendons that stabilize the shoulder and power a wide range of arm movements. When one or more of these tendons tear — due to injury, repetitive stress, or degeneration — the joint loses strength and stability, causing pain and restricting motion. Even daily activities like dressing and bathing become extremely painful.

Surgical rotator cuff repair requires the surgeon to access the shoulder joint and re-attach the torn tendon(s) to the humerus (the upper arm bone) using anchors and sutures. Depending upon the severity and location of the tear(s), the surgeon requires a larger or smaller opening to the joint:

  • Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair: Multiple incisions, about a centimeter long, allow the surgeon to insert a tiny camera and specialized instruments to effect the necessary repairs. This is the least invasive option.
  • Mini-Open Repair: This option combines arthroscopic and open surgical techniques, accessing the shoulder joint through an incision 2 – 4 centimeters wide. This option provides direct access while keeping the opening relatively small.
  • Open Repair: Large tears requiring extensive reattachment or tendon reconstruction may require larger incisions reaching 5 – 10 centimeters wide to access and repair the torn tendon(s).
Surgical rotator cuff tear treatment requires general anesthesia. Arthroscopic or mini-open repair may be done as an outpatient treatment, but the open repair requires a hospital stay of 1 – 2 days. Either way, they share the same drawbacks:

  • Added pain
  • Added tissue damage
  • Anesthesia
  • Scarring
  • Risk of complications
  • Risk of a frozen shoulder
  • Lengthy, painful recovery
  • Pharmaceutical painkillers
  • Risk of post-traumatic arthritis
  • Risk of depression

Fortunately, a torn rotator cuff can heal without surgery.

What to Expect During Regenerative Shoulder Treatment

When you come to QC Kinetix for regenerative rotator cuff treatment, we’ll start with a free consultation. We’ll examine you, review your medical records, and answer all your questions. You will be assigned your own patient advocate, who will guide you throughout your regenerative therapies.

Each therapy session lasts roughly 30 to 90 minutes:

  • First, we galvanize your innate healing processes.
  • Next, we focus your body’s healing energies on the source of your pain.
  • Finally, your body works to restore the damaged tissues.

While some patients experience improvement in just a week or two, most will take 2 to 4 months to feel real pain relief. Some may take up to nine months before they feel the full results of their rotator cuff tear treatment without surgery. To ensure the best outcome, we urge patients to follow the recommended treatment protocol and do their rehabilitation exercises.
